This got just in! Low Brain Drifters have signed Finnish drifter, Juha Rintanen to drift in LBD for season 2012!

If you haven't seen yet. the new member of LBD is Juha Rintanen from finland.
700hp s14, angry looking car, mental driver. check out his revamped car on his page, will be doing all the rounds of JDM All-Stars Drift Series and also Formula Drift malaysia at the end of the year. looking forward to him coming over!

This is really big news for Mr. Rintanen! According to Juha`s own website, he has full Formula D licence for season 2012, AND has been invited to compete in JDM Allstars! Apparently it`s all in the financial part, whether he competes in the US in Formula D or around Europe in JDM Allstars.

This or that, this is really good news!

Having tough time figuring out what car should I get. RWD would be a lot of fun when the roads are wet or dry. But a 4WD beat an RWD anyday in winter. Answer to my problems, is to get an R32 GT-R, but they`re a little expensive at the time.

Found a neat looking CA powered S13 which apparently has a decent amount of engine modifications on it. Price is alot better for my budget, too.

Same day when I went to check out the minibus/interior/thing job, I had a call from a local tuner offering a job. Checked it out and been there for little over 2 months now, building quick and better handling Volvo`s.

I still got the crap Opel Astra. And as I don`t care for it that much, I`ve been trying out all sort of things on it. At the moment I`m building a headlight intake for it. :D After that I`ll try building a box for the airfilter with direct ram type air intake through the headlamp.

Still dreaming of owning an AE86, KPGC10 and R32 GT-R Skylines.

Don`t know what to say. Almost 4 months after army ended and I still don`t have a proper job. I was offered a job where I put together mini bus and car interiors with heaters and all that. I`m going to check it out next monday.

But for now I`m working at a local car workshop for a while.

Oh, and a fun fact: Mazda HC Luce/929 mk5 was equipped with 13b turbo wankel in the earthquake torn Japan. All the fun stuff never came to Finland. :/

I got a one week off from army. Niiiice. Started last sunday and ends next sunday. After that I got only 5 days left, when we`ll be returning our Defense Force material. I`m kinda going to miss shooting with my RK-62... My best result was 92 points with 10 bullet serie at 150m distance.

Blah, fuck it! Once I get a job and a new car, D-Styles`s gonna pop out like a cracker in a million man march!

Alright, so I pussied out with being a lorry driver in army, and I chose 6 month training as a engine mechanic. I just freaking love it. While others are shooting blanks and yelling "take cover" in the 40cm`s of snow, I`m sipping coffee and basically just stretching my nuts for the fuck of it.

I got 19 days of army left and then I`m finally free of all the useless must_do government shit, except paying taxes, ofcourse.

I was actually offered a job as an mechanic there. If the money`s good I see no reason why not to? I might be driving a japanese exotic before summer! Then I can finally race my brother to the edge!

They be taking mah freedomz! In Finland we have this rather annoying law, that every male that basically can walk, must go through army training for either 6, 9 or 12 months depending on what course you take. I`m attempting to be an lorry driver so that I get "E" drivers licence for pretty much free, but it means I have to take the 12 month training. Other than that, you don`t basically earn any money, you just get daily pay of.... 4,80 euros I think. So THAT sucks. I`ll be hardly able to pay my mobile phone bills, car taxes, car insurance and gasoline.

Oh well... Once I get through it, I`m finally a free man! At the age of motherfucking 21 for fuck sake.... 9 years of mandatory school, 3 years of "college" just to get some papers to even get any job, and a fucking year in army. 13 years taken from my life, for what? So I can get the job that doesn`t pay well. For fuck sake.

Next monday is the day I will be gone. Although I could show them that I`m a lunatic, maybe they`ll free me up from all the future agony...

I`d love to type yet again something awesome here. Too bad I can`t type over the sound of HOW AWESOME I AM. Fuck haters! That`s what I think. In fact, don`t fuck ´em. You need haters to create even more proper stuff! If it wasn`t for haters, my car would still look like a fucking offroader, with 7cm ground clearance and 2cm wheelgap. Now with -1cm wheelgap and with around 4-5cm ground clearance from the belly of the car, and around 3cm clearance from the front lip, it turns slight amount of heads when it scrapes over speedbumps. I love it.

Despite the amount of haters I haven`t been able to figure out a good way to drop the rear end of the car! With the stupid solid axle and barrel like springs with separate dampers, it`s impossible to cut the springs shorter safely. Heard the best way to go is to just ride without any springs. Hard ride, but sure makes it low.

But I think I won`t be going that far, since I have to drive it more than just to the nearest car park and show off. Maybe with my next car I`ll be able to make a hellaflush piece of drift equipment?

I want new rims, 16x7,5 et20 in front and 16x9 et30 rear. Now where can I get them for almost free....

In the world of awesome 4 wheel vehicles, there`s a style like no other. I don`t know how or when did I get to know to it, but it`s simply amazing what sort of wheel fitment people do! For me, it doesn`t matter how low your car is, it`s more about how well your wheels of choice fit in your wheelarches. With zero wheelgap and stylish looks, every car can be Hella Flush.

I`ve been attempting to make my car as flush as possible, but with 7,5x16 et30, they really don`t fill the arches that well with -40mm ride height drop. I`d still need to drop it around 20mm to get rid of the wheelgap. But if I lower it any further, it would start scraping the ground way too much for fast road use. Even with 7,5 centimeters from front lip to the ground, it scratches from time to time on B-roads, not to mention speedbumps.

I know, the rear wheels should poke out a little more, but I already have 1cm spacers there on each side! I`d still need to get them about 1,5cm out more to get them near the end of the arches.

Oh and don`t mind about the silly colour of the rims, they`re painted matte white now for the extra porn-ish look. Sharp eyed readers might have noticed the front lip is from an MK3 Golf VR6. :) It fitted well enough and makes the front of the car a little more "dynamic".

It has been quiet days in the world of the Blog. Nothing new in D-Styles nor in movies. I`ve been a bit down for the past few days, no job = no money. No money means no new car. I`ve been dreaming of getting a Nissan 200sx s14a. It just looks too good. I`ve driven my brothers s14 and its been heaven to me. Even with the stock T28 "disco potato" turbo, it makes pretty good power.
I can`t wait to get rid of army and finally get my own 200sx. It feels like the right car for me; lightweight, turbocharged mid sized engine. I would do just fine with around 300bhp, just enough to drift and race.

For real. It`s unbelievable that women can turn from nice to "fuck you" mode in a blink of an eye. My mom called me a while ago and was all nice and stuff, asked me how`s it going and all that. Then she asked me if I had any food and I told her that "yeah I got some bread and milk". Then she asked did I have any real food and I said "I got some macaroni".
Then hell broke loose. "You should take alot better care of yourself! Why don`t you go to library or something and then make some food. You`re really just inside four walls! If you can`t take better care of yourself I think you should move back to your dad."

I had no idea what to say.

I understand why she tells me I should get a job (and a haircut :D) but what baffles me is that why should I live by the book? Why should I live like "all the others at your age"? I do know it isn`t healthy to just stay at home 24/7 in the darkness but hell, what the fuck should I do then? Go to the damn library, read a boring magazine and then what? Come back home? To my boring "sitting by the computer"?
No wait, maybe I should start hanging around outside, get to know to other people and just waste even more of my BB=0 (bank balance 0) on useless things.
Atleast now I`m saving money and learning how to type faster! (421 letters a minute, 61 words right 1 wrong)

Well, in the end, my mom`s right. I should go out. Yeah, I`ll do that right away! I`mma go for a cigarrette.

Don`t you just love them? That crazy uneven idle on peripheral port wankels?

It`s unbelievable such engines have been created, triangle spinning fast inside an oval. Who the hell came up with that idea?! Felix Wankel. Crazy Germans...
Mr. Wankel started designing the engine in 1951 and in 1957 the first working prototype wankel engine was built.

Even motorcycles has been built with wankel engine! British Norton Motorcycles and Japanese Suzuki had production motorcycles equipped with this simple piece of engineering.

Naturally aspirated wankel engines are great for tuning too, through intake porting you get easy power alot, yet depending on the type of porting you`re using, it increases fuel consumption and shorter life span. And other less important con`s (pro`s, more likely) like higher, more uneven idle and excessive noise.

You know what I hate? FUCKING DUBBED MOVIES! I don`t want to watch legendary movies and clips dubbed in goddamn german or italian. For fuck sake. Friend of mine just said about this and it got me thinking about it and I got pissed off.

But once we`re talking about movies, I just saw The Boondock Saints I & II. Very cool films directed & written by Troy Duffy.

It`s a story about two Irish brothers, Murphy and Connor MacManus that take really good care of each other. In the first movie they go on a true biblical killing spree, targeting bad guys only. Little they know, their long gone father is making a surprising comeback.
The second movie is about those two irish brothers again, and their mexican sidekick. This time they`re after this copycat killer who executed a priest in the same way the Saints executed the bad guys.
